Muscle Shoals

“Muscle Shoals” documents the history of one of the greatest recording studios in the U.S. and the artists who recorded there. Located on the shore of the Tennessee River, Muscle Shoals, Alabama is the breeding ground for some of America’s most creative and defiant music. Under the spiritual influence of the ‘Singing River’ as Native Americans called it, the music of Muscle Shoals changed the world and sold millions upon millions of copies.

Among the talent documented in the film, Aretha Franklin, Duane Allman, Wilson Pickett, Bob Dylan, Etta James, and the Rolling Stones who produced their most American-sounding work. Directed by Greg ‘Freddy’ Camalier. Now available VOD.
