“History of Film – Once Upon a Time in the West” is a video essay by Michael Mirasol about Sergio Leone’s tribute to the Old West and its unique place as The Western in cinema history. Michael Mirasol is an independent film critic who has been writing about films for more than ten years. He briefly served as film critic for the Manila Times and now writes occasionally for Uno Magazine and his blog The Flipcritic. Mirasol is also one of Roger Ebert’s Far Flung Correspondents:
