Joanna Newsom’s new ‘Divers’ music video features the artwork of Kim Keever and was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. The music video was filmed in Kim Keever’s studio, and incorporates her striking landscape paintings as inspiration. Adele premieres her new single “Hello” in a music video directed and edited by Cannes 2014 Jury Prize award-winner Xavier Dolan (for “Mommy” – Dolan shared the Jury Prize with Jean-Luc Godard for his film “Goodbye to Language”) with cinematographer André Turpin. The single will be included on her just-announced new album ’25’. From an interview with the LA Times: Dolan and Adele began talking about the concept for the video, wondering if the solitary catharsis of the filmmaker’s earlier work could be recaptured in some manner. Soon they were brainstorming the “Hello” video, which would come to involve a recently broken-up woman calling a younger version of herself.

“When I heard the song I saw a story right away,” Dolan said, “just this idea of taking the phone and calling your past.” Read the entire interview at the LA Times.
