Vinyl – Martin Scorsese, Mick Jagger HBO Drama

 

Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger’s rock drama “Vinyl” premiered on HBO February 14th, 2016. The 10-episode series follows a New York music executive working for the fictional American Century Records in the late 1970s, hustling to make a career out of the city’s diverse music scene. Scorsese directs the pilot episode. “Vinyl” was renewed for a second season at HBO after only one episode had aired, just days after the series’ debut.

Doctor Who

 

The long-running science fiction series “Doctor Who” returns for its ninth season September 19th, 2015 on BBC. The first trailer featuring Peter Capaldi was premiered at the San Diego Comic-con.

“Doctor Who” continues the travel adventures of The Doctor who is told in the short teaser that “I see into your soul, Doctor. I see beauty, divinity, hatred…” sounding like Davros, the creator of the Daleks who last appeared in “The End of Time”. In the newest full trailer, the Doctor asks Clara if he is a good man after having lived for more than 2000 years. From the IMDb description:

The 67th Annual Emmy Awards Nominations 2015

The 67th Annual Emmy Award nominations were announced on July 16th, 2015. The Emmy Awards are presented by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to recognize outstanding achievements each year and honoring recipients in five categories: Primetime Television, Creative Arts, Engineering, Television Academy Hall of Fame and Television Academy Honors.
