Cannes Film Festival Un Certain Regard 2014

The Un Certain Regard competition is a section of the Cannes Film Festival’s official selection. It is run at the salle Debussy, parallel to the competition for the Palme d’Or and honors original and different works. The winners of the Un Certain Regard (A Particular Outlook) segment of the 2014 Cannes Film Festival were announced today, May 23, 2014. Twenty films representing 23 different countries, with seven of the works being first films, were presented in the Un Certain Regard 2014 competition. Jury president Pablo Trapero said:

“The Jury was honored and delighted to have been able to view over ten days so many excellent films testifying to the diversity and vitality of filmmaking in the world today. They were also impressed by the vision and originality of the works presented.”
