The epic saga continued with the LA premiere of “Star Wars The Force Awakens” on December 15th, 2015 at three theaters. Hollywood Boulevard was partially ‘tented’ over for the extravaganza…comments from social media soon after the premiere:

“I Saw The Light” is the life story of legendary Country-Western singer Hank Williams starring Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen. Singer and songwriter Williams is well-known for his popular American songs “Your Cheatin’ Heart,” “Hey Good Lookin'”, “I Saw the Light,” “Lost Highway” and “Cold, Cold Heart.” From the film’s synopsis:

Rather than limit the list to only the awards organizations nominees or winners, we have also included composer’s or performer’s music recognized by other notable online organizations that publish yearly ‘best of’ polls or votes for the film music category.
There are many films that might not get ‘awards’, but they may have individual elements that really stand out…like the music. We’ll add more to the list in the coming weeks.
“Glen Keane Step Into The Page” features Disney animator Glen Keane, best known for his work on Tangled, The Little Mermaid, Tarzan, Pocahontas, Beauty and the Beast and Duet. He was the recipient of the Winsor McCay Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008 for his work in the current generation of Disney character animators.
He is also the recipient of the 2012 Tex Avery Award, and he was a 2013 Disney Legend Award honoree for his contribution in Animation. Keane is now involved in the ‘Future of Storytelling’ project bringing together leaders from the worlds of media, technology, and communications to explore how stories are changing in the digital age. Ridley Scott’s “The Martian” is based on Andy Weir’s novel of the same name and features an all-star cast including Jessica Chastain, Matt Damon, Kate Mara, Kristen Wiig and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Damon is astronaut Mark Watney who becomes stranded on Mars.
The long-running science fiction series “Doctor Who” returns for its ninth season September 19th, 2015 on BBC. The first trailer featuring Peter Capaldi was premiered at the San Diego Comic-con.
“Doctor Who” continues the travel adventures of The Doctor who is told in the short teaser that “I see into your soul, Doctor. I see beauty, divinity, hatred…” sounding like Davros, the creator of the Daleks who last appeared in “The End of Time”. In the newest full trailer, the Doctor asks Clara if he is a good man after having lived for more than 2000 years. From the IMDb description:
The 67th Annual Emmy Award nominations were announced on July 16th, 2015. The Emmy Awards are presented by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to recognize outstanding achievements each year and honoring recipients in five categories: Primetime Television, Creative Arts, Engineering, Television Academy Hall of Fame and Television Academy Honors.
